{Tue 25/10/2005 5:36 PM Press Release – Sobeys Curling Classic}

The 2005 Sobeys Curling Classic is ready to go! We will be hosting 44 of the top curling teams in Atlantic Canada Nov. 10-14. This will be the 11th annual Sobeys Curling Classic and the event will feature 24 men's and 20 ladies teams playing for close to $40,000. Games will begin on Thursday evening at 6:00 pm with the opening men's draw, followed by the opening ladies draw at 9:00 pm. The vast majority of games will be played at our own Bluenose Club but we couldn't do this without the support of the clubs in Truro and Pictou as well. Play will continue at all three clubs through Saturday with all play moving to Bluenose on Sunday and Monday. The finals will be at 3:00 pm on Monday and we would love to have a great turnout. I would encourage you to drop into the club to watch some great curling or if your travels take you to Truro or Pictou, drop in to those clubs to check out the action and spread some of that Bluenose hospitality.

As well, for the first time, we will be featuring a "Karaoke Klassics" night on Saturday. Everyone, including you, is invited to participate. This should be a fun evening and will get underway immediately following the 7:00 pm draw. There will be over $1000. worth of prizes to be won and lots of fun. Come along, bring your best singing voice or maybe your best pair of earmuffs. Either way be sure to attend "Karaoke Klassics" at the Sobeys Curling Classic!
